Baroque violinist Davide Monti defies all the preconceptions of what an early music specialist is. An absolute virtuoso on the violin, Davide improvises like a musician possessed. Joining us are Jacqueline Ogeil on the earliest piano, a Cristofori, in a wonderfully Italian program of Scarlatti, Corelli, Tartini and of course Vivaldi.

Continuing the collaboration with guitarist Ken Murray, this free concert includes 'Park of Idols' by Stephen Goss, original works by Ken Murray and the epic 'Dialogos de la isla y el mar' from legendary Cuban composer, Leo Brouwer. Officially 'sold out', just turn up and you'll get in.

Ensemble Old and New - Music for Reflection

A wondrous collaboration with this newest of ensembles alongside Rachael Beesley (violin) and Rob Cossom (percussion), EON presents works by J.S. Bach, Pärt, Edwards, Abbott, Ravenscroft, Leek, and Cossom. Titled 'Music for Reflection', this concert promises a soundworld of nocturnal echoes and colourful imaginings. Her adaptation of Lars von Trier’s 1996 film has been acclaimed as one of the 21st century’s best operas. Thrilled to be playing Principal Cello in this one-show-only event.

Where English wit and Australian larrikinism converge, English Eccentrics offers a whimsical glimpse into a gallery of thirty-nine eccentric characters from English society. Imagine the love child of Monty Python and a high-camp Jane Austen. Composed by Malcolm Williamson and with a stellar cast and ensemble.

Melbourne Baroque Orchestra welcomes international cello star Mime Brinkmann in two concerts. I can't wait to join her in Vivaldi's riotous Double Concerto.
